Cássio Cavalli is a leading bankruptcy lawyer in Brazil. He specializes in bankruptcy law and in commercial law, and has experience in reorganization and liquidation of business firms, out-of-court reorganization, debt restructuring in workouts, asset sales, litigation for credit recovery and bankrutpcy proceedings administration. He has been advising both Brazilian and foreigner clients in projects involving insolvency matters of several industries, including Oil & Gas, Shipyard, Infrastructure, Electric Power, Automotive, Retail and Equipment Leasing. Cassio was also part of Veirano's team awarded with the "Restructuring Deal of the Year" of 2015 by Latin Lawyer, for the restructuring of Group OGX.
Mr. Cavalli has also been working for several years as a distinguished professor of law at the prestigious Getulio Vargas Foundation Law School in Rio de Janeiro, where he teaches in the undergratuate and master programs. He is the author of books on Brazilian bankruptcy law, contract law, limited liability companies and theory of the firm; and author of several academic papers and book chapters on business law.

Mr. Cavalli has been working as an arbitrator for contract disputes, and is a listed arbitrator of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of FGV, and of the Chamber of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration of Federasul.
