Latin Lawyer announces Lifetime Achievement Awards
Latin Lawyer is delighted to present its Lifetime Achievement Awards to Ronaldo Veirano, founding partner of Brazil’s Veirano Advogados, and Fernando Aguirre, senior partner at Bolivian firm Bufete Aguirre, Quintanilla, Soria & Nishizawa Sociedad Civil.
One of Brazil’s most internationally recognised and respected corporate lawyers, Veirano is the founder of Veirano Advogados, which is among Brazil’s Elite firms.
Veirano left his role as managing partner of Baker McKenzie’s Rio de Janeiro office, which he helped open in 1972, to found the firm in 1996. His goal was to create a meritocratic and truly national firm that could serve domestic and international clients alike. Veirano now counts more than 270 attorneys across the country.
Veirano has served as the Honorary Consul of Australia to Rio since 2000 and is a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce. He was previously the chair of the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil.
Latin Lawyer will present Veirano and Aguirre with their awards at its annual charity awards ceremony at the Palácio Tangará in São Paulo on 10 April.
